I enjoy watching wild birds….Just wondered if there is anything special i can do to attract larger numbers of them to my feeders.

    Buy bird seeds.

    maybe some colorful flowers or so. birds are attracted to bright objects.

    Make sure they are in open areas, and “try” to keep the squirrels away.

    You go outside and say here birdy!

    Don’t wear any bright colors or they might think you are a hunter.

    Buy suet. Birds love to eat suet. You’ll need suet (square cake like thing) and suet holder. Go to Walmart, Target, Homedepot, Petsmart, garden stores or anywhere with bird section.

    Suet is great but most people forget the other thing birds need and live. Water. Several years ago, I sat at my grandmothers and watched the birds, twice empty a pretty good size bird bath splashing around in it. Came home and picked up one the next week. It is amazing how much activity you will see after the birds figure out it there is water all ways there. I even put a heated in mine in the winter.
